At the oakland airport, doing some last minute work before I hop on the plane. I can't wait to get home and back in the arms of my wuff. It has been way too long. If there has been one thing on my mind while I've been gone its been him. You would think that you wouldn't miss someone that you see everyday, but damnit, 10 days is a long time. Tonight is a dinner together, snuggles and our christmas.
The trip was good, no real incidents, no talks nothing really bad happened. I spent most my time relaxing with my brothers, either playing left 4 dead, or call of duty. Tis a good way to spend a vacation. The family is all doing well. My mom is still recovering from her surgery but is really making good progress. She says she feels better, and is trying to take less pain pills each day. I tell her to enjoy the narcotics while she can. Both my brothers are doing well. Gregg and Holly are happy together down in LA. I'm glad that he's found someone. Steve is pushing towards getting his school done and really kicking butt at it. I'm impressed with all the medical stuff he can spout off already. 10 days is enough though, and as I'ev said already I'm itching to get home.
I'm relaxed, and ready to get geared up for work, next week as I'm still taking it easy. I managed to only work a little bit, maybe 3 out of the 10 days when you total it all up. I shouldn't have brought my laptop home over the holidays, but it looks like I'm gonna nail all my goals for the year. This is a load of stress off my back, I'm just glad to have it be over and done with. Now onward to next year, which hopefully brings more wags ^.^

District-9!! I has it!!
A little fun thing i like to do is play similar movies back to back, when i have the time. Like Running Man, Demolition Man, and Freejack. Three movies that are similarly themed, a man of action thrust into a crazy totalitarian future where mayhem ensues and they single handedly bring down the system. Youd think their'd be a term for that...
So as previously stated i nabbed up District 9 today, someone on a certain favorite radio show made an observation that its very similar to Enemy Mine in a few ways. Now i havent seen enemy mine in at least 15 years but i think its undercutting the awesomeness of this flick to compare the two.
BUT i can see what he was saying, dude prolly only saw the trailers for D9 or something cos anyone whose seen both can easily tell the difference. Not to say that Enemy Mine is a bad movie....well i donno if it holds up against time, im gonna pop it in right now and find out! Then im gonna follow it up with the most (personally) anticipated video release since Gladiator <3_<3

If so, I was wondering if amongst you folks, you'd be interested in making a fleet (guild)?
I'm thinking of picking up a preorder, and thus I thought I might ask the question here...

So as i said we took in Avatar this weekend, in stunning THREEE DEEE. First off their usage of 3D was really neat, they dont just hammer you with stuff flying into your eyes every second, it pops up periodically with little things here and there.
As for the movie itself, it definitely lives up to the hype. The plot is a lil cliche, standard obvious good guys and bad guys, nature vs industry thing. But WOW did they put alot of love into making that whole environment immersive! Lots of amazing creatures and eye candy special effects, and really awesome sci-fi tech.

WOW!
What an amazing film!
I went going not knowing what to expect at all. I think it will become a classic among geeks for sure.
My take on it is. "Pocahontas meets Fern gully".
Just eye candy after eye candy and seeing it in 3D made it that much better.
Certainly a movie for those who adore fantasy (WoW Players etc).
So yeah, go see it ;)

Ok its very weird, i hadnt heard a peep about the new Avatar movie (yea yea dances with smurfs i heard it) but suddenly everyones going batshit loco over it. Im gonna go see it with Kiteless and crew tumurra, i had no real intention of watching this thing as it looks like a PS3 game...or maybe i was looking at the trailer for the PS3 game...i cant tell XD
But anyway im tryin not to get roped in on the sudden hype, but i figure ill be amused by this flick at the very least.

I'm sitting here, watching a build go as I listen to some of the most amazing dubstep I have ever heard. God damn this genre is just so incredible.
I feel like I'm about the cross the finish line. I feel like I've crammed 2 months of work into 2 weeks (and I have). I feel like I want to sleep for days. I need a break. Thankfully I've had a lot of support from my wuff, who understood that I've had it hard and has made things easy on me and dealt with my stressful outbursts. My awesome friends also helped out a lot, and I thank all of you for that.
As I speak I am down to the last builds of my project. This is pretty monumental, as I've never really done this before, but so far so good. I'm really happy with the quality of work that I've done and how quickly I've converged when it was time to push. Now, I'm just happy that it is almost over. ^.^
